Our team of interdisciplinary engineers works collaboratively with clients to design buildings and processes that are on track for safety, performance and sustainability.</p><h3>Your Key Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li><p>The role of the Structural Engineer is to work on projects for both tower and rooftop sites nationwide.</p></li><li><p>Analysis and approve tower structural analysis, construction drawings, custom mounts and post construction inspections.</p></li><li><p>Acts as quality control reviewer on projects.</p></li><li><p>Proactively represents firm and pursues opportunities for new business.</p></li><li><p>Develops and delivers client presentations.</p></li><li><p>Assist with development of design standards.</p></li><li><p>Attend and/or participate in events where leadership visibility is desired (i.e. company events/parties, industry events, recruiting programs).</p></li><li><p>Participate in the development, dissemination and implementation of a business plan.</p></li></ul><h3>Your Capabilities and Credentials:</h3><ul><li><p>Multiple Canadian Professional Engineering licenses are required. At a minimum Ontario, but the successful candidate will require licenses in most Canadian provinces and territories.</p></li><li><p>French-English Bilingual is an asset, as is Quebec Professional Engineering license.</p></li><li><p>Deep understanding and working knowledge of CSA S37-24, as well as the following building systems: steel framing in tower structures including lateral systems for seismic (braced frames, BRBF, SPSW, etc.), concrete foundations and anchors.</p></li><li><p>Extensive experience with the reinforcement of communications towers – foundation, tower structure, guy anchors, guy wires.</p></li><li><p>An understanding of geotechnical analysis and reports as they relate to foundation and tower design.</p></li><li><p>Requisite knowledge and application of structural design codes, standards, and applicable codes</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of structural systems, seismic design, construction means and methods, materials, and industry standards as they relate to telecom infrastructure, specifically, tower and rooftop sites.</p></li><li><p>Ability to communicate both verbally and in written form concepts and ideas to tower owners and telecommunications clients.</p></li><li><p>Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule</p></li><li><p>Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.</p></li></ul><h3>Education and Experience:</h3><ul><li><p>5+ years of related experience</p></li><li><p>Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required, Master’s Degree is an asset</p></li><li><p>Experience with general business software (Microsoft Office suite)</p></li><li><p>Experience with industry standard Structural Engineering software (TS Tower, TS Foundation, RISA, etc.)</p></li><li><p>Experience with modeling software (Autodesk Revit) is an asset</p></li></ul><p>Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of otherwise.
