Job description

Position Summary:


Providing support to sales and purchasing department: project management, creating submittal packages, sample testing, sourcing new components, stock management, production monitoring and shipping coordination.

Principle Duties And Responsibilities:


· Pre and Post-Sales Support

o Assist with project proposal and sales contracts

o Supports the quote preparation process by sizing and selecting standard products based on information provided by sales reps, consulting engineers, and end users


o Perform order management which includes customer inquiries/communication, order changes and internal resource coordination/communication

o Maintain records of customer communication and contact information as required

o Create submittal packages, submit within tight deadline period, revise as needed to achieve approval per customer specification


o Reviews/checks submittal documentation to ensure the materials reflect selections specified for the project

o Create structured Bills of Material in VISUAL ERP system

o Provide sales and purchasing department with accurate specification, costing, availability and lead time of specific components for new projects


o Keep customer up to date with production progress and anticipated shipping date

o Liaising with installation/project engineers

o Providing Pre and Post-Sales technical support to clients


· Engineering support

o Source mechanical and electrical components to meet standards and customer specification

o Design control panel and built the most simple ones


o Create mechanical and electrical Bill-of-Materials

o Assemble the product O&M


Quality Control

o Ensure the proper operation of equipment

o Verify that design, materials and components meet specs

o Perform mechanical, electrical and leak tests


o Verify that parts move correctly and test the proper fit of components

o Ensure that automation program respect control philosophy

o Create a test procedure, verify functionality and make control panel corrections


o Find the cause of the defect and develop a solution

Education, Experience, & Skills:

Required: Degree or Diploma in Engineering or other applicable/related field


Desirable: Working knowledge of civil design and specifications, mechanical process, automation, electrical control equipment and fluid dynamics

· 2+ years relevant experience in an engineer-to-order, applications engineering, and/or discrete manufacturing environment

· Excellent oral and written communication skills


· Experience with 2-D & 3-D drafting software (Inventor preferred)

· Ability to use technology and analysis tools (Excel, Outlook, web, databases)

· Highly self-motivated


· Flexible, reliable, strong work ethic, dependable team player, positive, constructive attitude

· Outstanding business etiquette skills

· Knowledge of products and technologies including current and potential applications


· Mechanical, electrical and automation knowledge

· Valid driver’s license

· Attention to detail
