We’re seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Surface Land or Environmental Administrator to join our Calgary office and support our field and regulatory teams.


Position Summary

As a Surface Land/Environmental Administrator, you will be responsible for providing critical administrative support for projects using systems such as the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) OneStop and the Electronic Disposition System (EDS). You will work closely with project managers and team members to provide a coordinated and timely response to client surface land requests including project set-up, tracking, initiation, completion and submission of client applications.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support regulatory application submissions (AER, EDS, EPEA, DRAS, etc)
  • Maintain land and environmental project databases and tracking systems
  • Assist in the preparation of environmental reports and deliverables
  • Liaise with stakeholders including landowners, government agencies, and clients
  • Ensure all documentation complies with internal standards and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain electronic filing systems for audit readiness


Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or certificate in Land Administration, Environmental Sciences, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in surface land or environmental administration (oil & gas sector preferred)
  • Familiarity with Alberta regulatory frameworks (AER, AEP, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with land systems (e.g., IRIS, AbaData, ETS) is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Preference will be given to those individuals with expertise in/and knowledge and application of the Master Schedule of Standards and Conditions in review of survey plans and completion of Public Land Applications.
