Your Opportunity at SECURE Energy The Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for the attraction, recruitment, and onboarding for SECURE.
Supporting SECURE’s Metals, Mining and Rail group, the Talent Acquisition Partner is experienced in developing innovative talent attraction techniques to source passive talent, build strong candidate pipelines and attract top talent while ensuring an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruiting and onboarding process. The Team SECURE’s Talent Acquisition Team is a dynamic and skilled group dedicated to sourcing, attracting, and onboarding top talent. With expertise in recruitment strategies and a focus on aligning hiring efforts with organizational goals, they play a crucial role in driving SECURE’s growth and success.
A Day in The Life Delivering full cycle recruitment; sourcing and recruiting qualified candidates through various channels, including internet resume databases, employee referrals, cold calling, career fairs, and social networking, utilizing creative sourcing techniques to ensure timely placement of positions. Build talent pools by engaging with community services, educational institutions, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and job advertising sites. Present opportunities and maintain rapport with potential candidates.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of business groups, market challenges, and key skills to create proactive recruitment plans. Function as a trusted advisor to the business. Develop and maintain talent pipelines for key skillsets and geographical regions Collaborate with Hiring Managers and HR stakeholders to determine appropriate salaries using market and competitive data.
Identify and promote internal top performers for open positions by working closely with Hiring Managers. Complete necessary pre-employment steps, including offer letter generation, reference checks, and background checks. Work with internal stakeholders, including SECURE’s Marketing & Communication team to advance brand and opportunity awareness.
Stay updated on industry trends by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and networking with industry professionals. Recommend recruitment strategies that align with the short and long-term growth of the Metals, Mining & Rail business segment. Act as a positive ambassador for the People & Culture team, contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of SECURE’s workplace culture.
Travel to field locations for recruitment initiatives as required. Skills, Experience, & Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Commerce/Management or relevant experience is considered an asset. RPR, CPHR or working towards designation is considered an asset. 5 years’ experience in recruiting, with previous high-volume field-based recruitment experience, preferably in construction, waste management, environmental services and metals recycling industry.
Strong understanding of end-to-end talent acquisition and talent management processes. High proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong HRIS/ATS experience with sourcing, tracking, and managing candidates. Ability to actively engage and collaborate effectively with a broad range of individuals ranging from internal stakeholders, business partners and external consultants.
Strong client focus and customer service skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement; ability to proactively network both internally and externally by establishing effective working relationships, continually seek new sourcing options, and develop creative approaches to delivering qualified candidates. Ability to maintain strict levels of confidentiality in handling sensitive/employee information Flexible and adaptable, willing to take on more responsibilities as needed, and devote time necessary to complete deadlines. Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize workload based on business needs.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with a commitment to collaborative work, mentoring and knowledge sharing.
