Talent Acquisition Specialist

Location: Calgary, AB Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Onsite, 5 days per week)


About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team in Calgary, AB. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent to support our business growth. You will manage the full-cycle recruitment process, collaborate with hiring managers, and implement innovative sourcing strategies to build a strong talent pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and create job descriptions.
  • Utilize various sourcing channels, including job boards, social media, networking events, and referrals.
  • Maintain and update applicant tracking systems (ATS) to ensure accurate candidate records.
  • Conduct initial interviews and coordinate interview schedules with hiring teams.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in recruitment.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Undergraduate degree in HR, Business, or related discipline.
  • 3-5 years experience in full cycle recruitment.
  • Recruitment experience within the aerospace, manufacturing, transportation, logistics or related industry is considered an asset.
  • Recruitment experience in high volume front line positions is a strong asset.
  • CHRP designation is considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of Provincial and Canadian Labour and Employment Laws, preferably in multi-provincial jurisdictions.
  • You demonstrate a strong ability to source candidates using a wide range of channels, including social media, job boards, and professional networking.
  • Expertise in the use of social media (e.g. LinkedIn, Indeed, Twitter, FaceBook) for recruitment campaigns.
  • Expertise in the use of advanced recruitment methods such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) would be considered an asset.
  • Experience with the Ceridian Dayforce ATS is considered a significant asset.
  • Superior written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.
