This is an exciting opportunity to join the Tax department of a well established full service law firm in Toronto as a Tax Partner and play a very integral role within their team and expand your practice within a dynamic and collaborative milieu, while working on sophisticated files amongst seasoned Tax practitioners, particularly in cross-border corporate tax matters, reorganizations, M&A, and tax and estate planning files.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a member in good standing of the Ontario Bar;
- Have approximately 10 + years of pertinent tax experience;
- Have strong drafting, negotiating, analytical & interpersonal skills;
- Have solid business acumen and strong client facing abilities;
- Be able to work well independently as well as within a team; and
- Have demonstrable leadership experience and be able to delegate and mentor junior lawyers.
