About The Role
You’ll manage diverse planning projects—corporate reorganizations, trust and estate planning, succession strategies, and cross-border matters—working directly with clients and collaborating closely with partners. No repetitive compliance work; every engagement is unique and challenging.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary client contact, delivering high-quality, technically sound tax planning advice.
- Lead engagements from initial scoping through to successful implementation.
- Design tax-efficient structures and oversee technical research, analysis, and memorandum preparation.
- Guide and mentor junior team members, providing feedback and reviewing their work.
- Collaborate with clients and partners in strategic planning discussions.
- Proven leadership in tax advisory, with 5+ years of experience and at least 1–2 years in a management role.
- CPA designation (or equivalent) and a strong technical foundation in Canadian tax law; familiarity with cross-border matters is an advantage.
- A long-term commitment to building expertise in complex tax planning.
- Analytical mindset, adaptability in dynamic situations, and a collaborative approach to working with clients and colleagues.
