Job Description
Within TD Securities, Technology is the FinTech division that engineers platforms supporting leading-edge business capabilities. You will be part of one of the teams within the Technology group and will be treated as an equal member of the team from Day 1, receiving meaningful assignments to help deliver improvements to technology platforms. This may include platforms such as core banking, customer servicing, or customer engagement.
- Design and develop new and existing applications
- Produce technical deliverables from inception through development
- Leverage best practices in development, architectural principles, continuous integration and delivery
- Assist in technical discussions to drive robust, modernized solutions
- Write clean, maintainable code aligned with best practices
- Ensure code is properly unit tested with significant code coverage
- Proactively explore new capabilities to drive technology innovations
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to transform requirements into technical requirements
- Work closely with other developers, architects, and SMEs to produce quality technical solutions
- Adhere to agile methodology, SDLC and project management practices
Job Responsibilities
- Participate on a team with targeted deliverables to develop new functionality and improve processes, systems and applications
- Produce high-quality code and ensure defect-free programming through testing and peer reviews
- Develop new applications/solutions with consistent quality; provide code maintenance and support during testing and post-production
- Work with technologies such as JavaScript, Angular, React, SQL, NoSQL, C++, C#, Go, Java, Scala, Python, NodeJS, RESTful APIs, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and related tools
- Contribute to financial securities-related technology projects (trade capture, pricing & risk management, PNL, analytics, electronic trading, etc.)
- Develop subject matter expertise in financial products (equities, derivatives, fixed income, etc.)
Job Requirements
- Minimum 4-year degree in a STEM field (graduate degrees preferred)
- Interest in Capital Markets
- Previous co-op or intern experience preferred
