Technical Architect – Salesforce Integration (Onsite, Contract – Toronto, ON)


Location: Onsite, Toronto, ON

Type: Contract

Hours: 7.25 hours/day, Monday–Friday, between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Start Date: Pending security clearances and contract finalization

About the Role

A public-sector program is seeking an experienced Salesforce Technical Architect to support a large, complex, vendor-managed implementation. This role focuses on defining integration approaches, developing architecture documentation, identifying risks, and ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant Salesforce solutions. This is a hands-on, leadership-focused position within a regulated environment.

The role is 100% onsite in Toronto and requires adherence to project-specific schedules under the direction of the hiring manager.


Scope of Work

  • Define strategy for integrating Salesforce with legacy systems and third-party applications, including middleware, interfaces, and data flow diagrams.

  • Assess business processes and architecture design documents to ensure alignment with technical requirements.

  • Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies related to integration, scalability, security, and compliance.

  • Develop and document high-level and detailed architecture artifacts, including:

    • Architecture diagrams

    • Data models

    • Integration and API patterns

    • Security models and frameworks

  • Provide detailed specifications for customizations, configurations, APIs, and integration components.


Assignment Deliverables

  • Documented integration approach for Salesforce and legacy/third-party systems.

  • Completed assessments of business processes and architecture designs.

  • Documented risk mitigation strategies for technical and integration risks.

  • Architecture artifacts and diagrams supporting the full solution design.





Requirements


Mandatory Requirements

  • 5+ years Salesforce experience

  • 5+ years architect experience working in vendor-driven environments

  • 5+ years as a technical architect in large, complex implementation projects


Nice-to-Have

  • 5+ years experience within tribunals, operations, or public-sector digital environments.


Desired Skills & Experience

  • Deep expertise with the Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Field Service Lightning, Data Cloud).

  • Strong proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, SOQL.

  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce integration patterns, REST/SOAP APIs, and middleware such as MuleSoft.

  • Leadership in designing and implementing technical architectures in enterprise environments.

  • Experience with structured methodologies for application design, development, and implementation.

  • Experience developing conceptual, logical, and physical process/data models.

  • Experience creating enterprise architecture deliverables and solution models.

  • Familiarity with ITIL methodologies and ability to guide teams in ITIL-aligned processes.

  • Experience translating business requirements into technical and reporting specifications.

  • Experience with CASE tools and project management tools.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

  • Proven ability to work across multiple stakeholders and meet deadlines.

  • Awareness of emerging technologies and industry trends.

  • Public-sector experience is an asset.
