Our client, a growing mens sportswear manufacturer, is looking for a talented, energetic and motivated Technical/Assistant Designer to join their team! This person will be working closely with the Creative Director and Design Director.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with the design team to develop stylish, high-quality collections that embody modern sophistication and effortless style. From researching trends and sketching concepts to sourcing materials and assisting with fittings, you'll be involved in every step of the design process.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing seasonal collections, from concept to production
- Create detailed technical sketches and tech packs for manufacturers
- Communicate instructions to factories/suppliers
- Research trends, fabrics, and colors to inspire new designs
- Follow up with factories/suppliers ensuring timely delivery of prototypes
- Support fittings, sample development, and quality control
- Check prototypes for measurements, quality of workmanship and design details
- Work with production team
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of English, written and spoken
- 1-2 years of experience in apparel design (menswear experience is a plus!)
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and tech pack creation
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Keen eye for detail, color, and fabric selection
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Accurate and precise attention to detail
- Excellent sense of organization
