Job Title: Technical Writer - Intermediate (CAN)
Location: Markham, CAN (Hybrid)
Duration: 1 year
Pay Range: $50 - $55/hr
Job Requirements:
Top 3-5 Must Have Skills:
1. Experience with structured content development using DITA methodologies and tools
2. CCMS tool usage - knowledge about DITA concepts, keys, content reuse, conditions
3. Proficient with XML authoring. handling multiple publication output formats (HTML, PDF)
4. Proof Reading/Copy Editing
Nice to Have:
• Engineering qualification with semiconductor or rack/system-level experience
Job Description:
• 2-4 years of technical writing experience in a technical field (Engineering or Computer Science background preferred)
• Excellent writing, copyediting, and communication skills
• Ability to deliver results with attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and adapt to changing deadlines and schedules
• Understanding of the DITA framework, CCMS tools, and XML editors
• Quick learner with an ability to understand components that make up a server platform with integrated and discrete processing solutions.
• Ability to work with multiple output formats, covering pdf, HTML, and context-sensitive online helps
• Self-starter, must be comfortable working with minimum support
• Experience with HTML, CSS, XSL, Perl, and other scripting languages
• Experience working with version control systems, SharePoint, JIRA, Confluence
