Regional Territory Sales Person – Western Canada – Equine Vet Sales MVP Talent Corp is a leading executive search agency matching top talent with distinguished clients. We are partnering with our client, an international leader in veterinary pharmaceuticals. The salesperson will represent a full array of equine pharmaceuticals to veterinarians located in Western Canada including from BC to Saskatchewan.
This person is ideally located in Southern Alberta (preferably Calgary) but can be located anywhere in Western Canada. This is a remote role with approximately 50% travel within the region. Key Responsibilities (non-exhaustive) Educate, support, and offer detailed product knowledge of company equine products to veterinarians Prospect for new business as well as support and expand upon sales within existing clients Organize and attend seminars, dinner programs, client education programs with targeted equine/livestock veterinarians Provide input/feedback to management on marketing programs, marketing materials Attend key National, Regional & Provincial veterinary conferences Build and maintain strong relationships with key equine/livestock veterinarians and opinion leaders Take ownership of establishing business plans and setting sales targets in the territory with the goal of achieving targets within budget.
Must-Have Experience and Skills 5 years of experience in sales of equine pharma products Knowledge of the animal health industry and veterinary practices across the region Knowledge and understanding of the medical, operational and business side of veterinary practice. Knowledge and understanding of selling to key opinion leaders in a specialty practice environment Strong analytical, technical, communication and presentation skills. Exhibits a high level of passion and self-motivation A high level of initiative and personal drive Independent and self-motivated; able to thrive in a remote working environment with minimal supervision Solid understanding of basic computer programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Willing to travel extensively throughout assigned territory and to regional/national events Reports to and operates under the general direction of the Regional Sales Manager The client offers a generous defined contribution pension plan, along with a full array of health, financial and voluntary benefits, including a base salary and incentive bonus plan.
