Role Purpose : This will be a 14-month Contract role. The Time and Attendance Administrator will work in conjunction with Operations to ensure all employees are paid correctly and in a timely manner. The Time and Attendance Administrator will assist field operations with any payroll-related inquiries and act as a liaison between field operations and Corporate Payroll.
Assist the Corporate Payroll team in processing weekly payroll for approximately 300 hourly (non union and union) in an accurate and timely manner. Inputs daily hours and updates as required scheduled shifts provided by Operations, into our time and attendance system (Synerion Enterprise) Inputs and tracks any adjusted hours provided by Operations into Synerion Enterprise to correct any missed time. Working with Corporate Payroll to ensure any missed time is paid on the next pay cycle run.
Answering and addressing any time and attendance questions from Operations or employees. Maintains time and attendance records electronically and in an organized manner. Collaborates with Corporate Payroll, Human Resources, Finance and Field Operations teams to ensure issues are escalated as necessary, processes are being followed and best practices are being reviewed.
Execute and run daily reports from Synerion and SMS and perform any necessary updates to ensure Time and Attendance data is up to date and accurate. Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies. Regularly maintains an active list of employees.
Retro-active adjustments regarding missed time Along with time entry, ensuring all hours are job costed correctly and ensuring all union related expenses are submitted in a timely manner. Import data from in-house time keeping system to time and attendance program (Synerion – Enterprise); review data for accuracy and completeness and trouble shoot errors Adhere to all procedures and policies, payroll regulations, legislation and standards Other duties as assigned Position Requirements : Minimum three years’ Time and Attendance related work experience Industry-related experience considered an asset Previous experience with Synerion Enterprise or Agile preferred with an understanding and ability to navigate and troubleshoot issues. Experience with JD Edwards would be an asset Experience within the construction sector specifically pertaining to unions with an understanding of Collective Bargaining Agreement would be an asset.
Experience with BC and Alberta labour legislation required. Results-driven with an ability to deliver success in a fast-paced environment. Outcome focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyse and visualize to ensure continuous improvement across our business.
Ability to connect and interact with people to seek different perspectives. Superb communication and interpersonal skills Strong ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities. Demonstrate versatility and resourcefulness in overcoming business challenges.
