Treasurer- Volunteer

Company Description The Canadian Celiac Association British Columbia (CCA BC) is a non-profit, volunteer-run charity based in Vancouver, BC, dedicated to supporting individuals affected by celiac disease, dermatitis herpetiformis, and other gluten-related conditions. The organization focuses on raising funds for medical research, increasing awareness, providing community support, and promoting safe food practices for those with gluten sensitivities. Role Description This is a volunteer Treasurer role with the CCA BC, offering flexibility for volunteer work.

The Treasurer will be responsible for managing charity-based financial activities, budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role involves coordinating with the Board of Directors, assisting in fundraising efforts, and contributing to financial planning. Qualifications Financial management, budgeting, and financial reporting skills Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations Experience in non-profit financial management Strong organizational and analytical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Proficiency in financial software and tools Ability to work independently and collaboratively Previous experience as a Treasurer or in a similar financial role is a plus Relevant finance or accounting certification or degree preferred
