Overview

Treasurer (Volunteer Position) – Hespeler Village BIA Board of Directors

The Hespeler Village BIA (Business Improvement Area) is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Treasurer to join our Board of Directors in a volunteer capacity. This important role supports the financial health and accountability of our organization and contributes to the continued growth and vibrancy of Hespeler Village.

Responsibilities

• Track expenses against the approved annual budget.
• Pay vendors in a timely manner as needed.
• Prepare and present expense reports and financial statements at monthly Board meetings.
• Participate (virtually or in-person) in one Board meeting per month, held on the second Wednesday from 6:30–8:30pm.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in a financial field (accounting, bookkeeping, finance, etc.).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the Board.
• Preference will be given to individuals who live in or are connected to Hespeler, Ontario.

• This is a volunteer position.
• The Treasurer will serve as a non-voting member of the Hespeler Village BIA Board of Directors.
