User Experience Designer

Team Thoughtcraft Technologies Ltd. is a technical consulting company based in Calgary, Alberta, offering market research and product incubation services. Specializing in big data technologies, we provide consulting services for product strategy development, design, and project management. Our client base primarily consists of technology companies in the HR Tech and online recruitment industry.

The UX designer will work with a small multi-cultural product incubation team focus on providing strategical product solutions to our clients. The team will work on building and testing new HR Tech product ideas based on strategical research, and transform those product ideas from the basic mockup into more matured product lines for further operations and growth. Core team members including research analyst / product managers / data engineers / software engineers.

Role Description The designer will In partnership with Product Managers, collaborate with the team mentioned above to develop impactful online products along with go-to-market product strategies. We are looking for a UX designer with certain level of GTM knowledges, capable of providing high quality UX/UI designs fitting with the business idea and also test the idea in terms of product adoption and implementation in HR tech industry. The right candidate we are looking for: Able to deploy a range of UX/UI tactics to lead through ambiguous problems to achieve exceptional user-centered product outcomes; Able to demonstrate a command of product strategy and business needs, communicate feature requests and competitive intelligence internally; Able to create internal and external facing documentation relevant to content and product features; Able with the functionality of prospects and talk to users / clients, interpret experiments and insights; Actively monitor the performance of the digital solutions provided to users.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree; 3 – 5 years of professional experience in product management / UX research; Significant experience with UX writing and UI design; Knowledge of Figma and user flows; Comprehensive fluency with component libraries; Willingness to iterate work output based on feedback; Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills. Preferred experience: Previous experience working in internet industry / international markets; Previous experience working in a consulting role with clients (e.g., Business/management consulting, UX consulting); Knowledge of GTM strategy and execution / Product Marketing / Content Creation.
