As Vice President, you’ll oversee capital planning, construction projects, and asset management to ensure alignment with our business goals, operational performance, and future opportunities. This role requires a strategic leader who excels at managing people, projects, and performance, influencing key decisions that shape NVD’s future.

What Does Your Success Look Like?

  1. Capital Planning & Projects: Developing long-term capital plans and overseeing major construction projects to ensure timely, on-budget delivery aligned with strategic goals, while maintaining governance and risk management.
  2. Asset Optimization: Ensuring properties perform optimally through upgrades, renovations, and lifecycle maintenance.
  3. Real Estate: Driving strategic growth via acquisitions, leasing, and sales.
  4. Property Management: Maintaining safe, well-operated properties with high tenant satisfaction and strong vendor partnerships.
  5. Financial Leadership: Managing budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditures with transparency and alignment to priorities.
  6. Team Leadership: Building a supported, empowered team with a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  7. Stakeholder Confidence: Building trust with contractors, consultants, the Board, and other stakeholders through clarity and data-driven insights.

What You Bring To The Role

  • Post-secondary education in engineering, architecture, business, construction, or related field; PMP designation is an asset.
  • Extensive experience managing large-scale capital projects and executive oversight, governance, and strategic decision-making.
  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets and forecasts.
  • Experience in real estate strategy, property management, or portfolio management is an asset.
  • Proven success in leading high-performing teams.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges and align initiatives with organizational priorities.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills for presentations, discussions, and influencing partners.

Job Requirements: Ability to work overtime, travel to Yukon and Northern BC communities.
