We are seeking a Senior VP of Revenue who is a strategic thinker with a proven track record of success in revenue management within the SaaS industry.
Founded in 2018, this fast-growing, Series B start-up is based in Vancouver, Canada and was created to help providers in the accommodation sector (hotels, vacation rentals, and other short-term stays) to improve their guest experience through the use of simple technology (software and IoT). Our solutions are anchored in keyless entry (via keypad or phone) and extend into guest portals and software solutions for housekeeping and maintenance staff.
Our customers range from the Accor hotel group all the way down to mom-and-pop vacation rental property managers and cleaning companies. All told, more than 50,000 rooms are currently using their solutions. The business is growing very fast (more than doubled in 2022) but needs to keep building scalable processes and growing its people to take on bigger challenges.
We are seeking a visionary and results-oriented Senior Vice President of Revenue to lead our revenue-generating teams, including sales, marketing, and customer success. The Senior VP of Revenue will play a critical role in driving revenue growth, expanding market reach, and fostering strong customer relationships.
Key Accountabilities: Key tasks and responsibilities the job-holder has on an on-going basis.
Develop and Execute Revenue Growth Strategies:
– Define and implement comprehensive revenue growth strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
– Lead the development and execution of sales, marketing, and customer success initiatives to drive revenue expansion.
– Identify new market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and innovative approaches to achieve revenue targets.
Lead and Inspire Revenue Teams:
– Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the sales, marketing, and customer success teams.
– Set clear goals, objectives, and performance metrics to drive accountability and achieve revenue targets.
– Mentor, coach, and develop team members to maximize their potential and drive exceptional results.
Drive Customer Acquisition and Retention:
– Oversee all aspects of the sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure, to ensure consistent revenue growth.
– Cultivate strong relationships with key customers and prospects, serving as a trusted advisor and advocate for their success.
– Implement effective customer success initiatives to enhance retention rates and drive upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
Optimize Revenue Operations and Processes:
– Streamline revenue operations and processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and customer satisfaction.
– Utilize data analytics and sales automation tools to gain insights and drive informed decision-making.
– Implement best practices, standards, and methodologies to optimize sales performance and effectiveness.
Collaborate Across Departments:
– Collaborate closely with product development, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to align revenue strategies with product roadmap and customer needs.
– Foster a culture of collaboration and communication to ensure seamless coordination across departments.
Required Qualifications / Expertise:
– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
– Proven track record of success in senior leadership roles, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in revenue management within the SaaS industry.
– Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing revenue growth strategies, with a strong understanding of sales methodologies, marketing techniques, and customer acquisition/retention tactics.
– Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor a diverse team of professionals.
– Strategic thinker with a data-driven mindset and a focus on results and ROI.
– Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
