BBE is actively seeking a full-time Warehouse Acceptance Agent to join our service focused team at our head office in Edmonton. The forklift operator supports BBE is delivering exceptional customer service to our client. The successful candidate will be responsible for cargo handling and data processing.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive and handle cargo on behalf of customers.
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment as required.
  • Process cargo documentation and system entries.
  • Verify manifests that accompany freight to ensure discrepancies are addressed immediately.
  • Manifest freight for shipping.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding various aspects of freight.
  • Dangerous good processing (packaging, handling, and documentation) when necessary.
  • Packaging and preparing freight for transport.
  • Organize pick-ups, delivery and billing in a timely manner.
  • Consolidation of shipments.
  • Prioritization of shipments based on client supplied requirements.
  • Timely and effective resolution of client or process issues as required.
  • Maintain accurate record keeping as required by various government agencies and company policies.
  • Follow company Health & Safety standards and complete safety duties as required and instructed to do so.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures as trained and communicated to do.
  • Ensure cleanliness of workstation at all times.
  • Ensure that all workplace issues, including barriers to high level of customer service, are brough to the attention of the Supervisor/Manager and assist in the solution process.

  • Actively participate in QHSETR programs and systems 
  • Contribute to and foster clear and direct communications, education, and enhancement of customer service with operations teams and clients. 
  • Contribute to BBE’s continuous improvement and organizational efficiency goals. 

    •  QUALIFICATIONS


  • Logistics and transportation experience is considered an asset.
  • Shipping, receiving, or warehousing experience is considered an asset.
  • Forklift and equipment operating experience is required.
  • Attention to detail and good communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • CIFFA, SCMP or similar certification is considered an asset.
  • You enjoy being part of a team and working closely with others to achieve success.
