SUMMARY

The Warehouse Journeyman is responsible for management and maintenance of the shop, tool crib, and supplies for projects.

Anticipated Start Date: October 1, 2025

Location: Syncrude Aurora - Fort McMurray, AB

Shift: 7&7

Accommodation: Local candidates preferred, but camp may be available.

Hourly Rate: $49.31 (Exclusive of employer contributions for vacation/statutory, health and welfare, RSP, pension, and education and training)

JOB DUTIES

• Ship and receive materials and equipment
• Organize materials and tools for the worksite
• Maintain cleanliness in the shop and tool crib
• Present missing/overdue tool reports to supervision
• Maintain equipment and tools
• Create requisitions for replenishing low stock
• Mark new equipment with marking tool
• Knowledge of heavy industrial service materials and tools, and their proper handling, storage and preparation for work sites
• Experience in equipment and tool maintenance, with some related training preferred
• Good knowledge of basic equipment maintenance and repair (mechanically inclined)
• Ensure equipment and small tools are maintained and visual and annual inspections are done as required
• Perform visual inspections of tools after releasing from/accepting in tool crib
• Various shop maintenance duties will be required

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

• OSSA Regional, BSO, or CSO
• Computer knowledge and experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Excellent interpersonal skills, team player, and strong work ethic
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced changing environment
• Self-motivated
• Positive attitude and compliance towards safety
• Must be physically able to lift 50lbs
