WORK LIFE:

The Warehouse Associate role is a permanent, full-time, on-site position, 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, for a total of 40 hours per week.

LOCATION:

Recreation Outfitters Inc. Head Office in Burnaby, BC – on site

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 5 years of experience working in a warehouse – picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and organizing inventory, inventory count, supplies procurement
• Experience in a leadership role such as supervisor, lead hand or assistant manager is highly sought
• Demonstration of customer service experience
• Strong computer skills; use of different types of system software
• Minimum of high school graduate. Post secondary education a bonus
• Be physically able bodied to be mobile and to lift or carry heavy objects multiple times per day

A DAY IN THE LIFE – WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

The Warehouse Operations Associate position is a multi-faceted role. You will be involved in all aspects of warehousing operations. You will need to have a comprehensive understanding of the workflow within a warehouse to provide a high level of customer service. This role works closely with several departments including sales, e-com, accounting, and customer support. You will report to the Managing Director to contribute to the ongoing success of the company.

A list of representative duties and responsibilities for Warehouse Operations Associate are, but not limited to:

– Be proficient in all aspects of warehouse operations

– Daily preparation and shipment of orders to b2b and b2c customers

– Follow detailed packing requirements and routing guidelines specified by customers

– Lift, carry, move heavy boxes up to 20kg

– Responsible to maintain inventory accuracy

– Receive inbound product accurately and efficiently

– Process product returns and warranty return claims

– Maintain and order a sufficient supply of packing material and shipping supplies

– Perform inventory counts

– Keep warehouse safe, clean, and organized

– Find ways to improve warehouse organization and efficiency

– Cover co-worker’s duties in the warehouse during their vacation

– Special projects, tasks and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by Managing Director or Business Administrator

EMPLOYMENT PACKAGE

Annual salary range $44000 – $46,000 depending on skills and experience
