Warehouse Supervisor


(Chilliwack)

The primary role of the Warehouse Supervisor is to provide leadership and efficient management of the Warehouse. The Warehouse Supervisor directly supervises and coordinates warehouse staff in a manner that creates engagement and productivity within the team and the facility. The secondary role of this position is to assist the Plant Manager in identifying and improving operational effectiveness and efficiency within all areas of the warehouse facility.

As a key member of the Production team, participates in department projects, operational committees, and other organizational initiatives. Provides backup support in the absence of the Production Supervisor.

  • Skills, Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management is an asset
  • Experience working in an inclusive diverse work environment.
  • 5-7 years of warehouse experience, preferably within the food industry, with an emphasis on inventory control.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Skills & Competencies
  • Excellent safety record, promotes strong safety culture.
  • Reliable – Good attendance is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with managers, supervisors and production floor employees.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Competent utilizing computer hardware and software which may include enterprise resource planning, vendor management system, inventory management, materials requirements planning, forecasting, time accounting, electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheets, database management applications; use of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint; experience using SAP is an asset.
