The Opportunity

The Warehouse Supervisor manages day to day warehouse operations including staff supervision, to ensure inventory and shipping receiving functions are operating at optimum levels and are continuously improving. Ensures implementation and management of process and policy to maximize internal and external customer satisfaction and operational efficiencies.


The Role

  • Implement and monitor Health and Safety programs designed to ensure our “Everyone Home Safe” initiatives are achieved.
  • Ensures a safe, clean work environment and well maintained assets, ready for daily Ops.
  • Ensures shipping and receiving activities are optimized to meet business requirements through hands-on interaction.
  • Supports inventory integrity, turns, obsolescence, shrink and handling requirements to standards, targets and KPIs.
  • Site lead for annual physical inventory,
  • Ensures branch inventory, delivery and handling requirements are met and exception and service failure communication & resolution protocols are followed.
  • Physically performs and assists with all shipping / receiving, putaway, pick, pack functions and other warehouse operations as required to meet the objectives
  • Guides the safe behaviours and process implementation required to eliminate bottlenecks throughout the DC; Receiving, Putaway, Picking, Packing, QC, Shipping, Inventory.
  • Leads / participates in inventory integrity and count activities
  • Assist internal and external customers with deliveries or shipments as required.
  • Knowledge of transportation and transportation software an asset
  • Perform equipment safety checks and report as required and as certified to do so
  • Capable to lead and teach branches with current tools (Nulogx, SHIPIT, AX)
  • Direct responsibility for team training, development and resource allocation


The Candidate

  • Education: Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent but diploma in Supply Chain or Logistics preferred.
  • Work Experience: 3 years of leadership experience in a warehouse environment. Previous experience within Supply Chain environment required.
  • Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of good warehouse practices. General knowledge of industrial goods and equipment. Lean and Continuous improvement experience is an asset. Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency: Intermediate level of knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Microsoft Access is an asset.


Compensation

salary -65k depending on experience.
