Our client, an Oil & Gas company, is seeking a Warehouse Technician to work a 3-month contract in Sherwood Park, AB.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Supply Chain Management (SCM), with a specific focus on materials management. This role requires a strong understanding of inventory processes, including counting, shipping, and receiving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain inventory levels, ensuring accuracy in material counts and records.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving processes, including the inspection and documentation of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Support materials management processes, ensuring efficient and effective handling of goods.
- Utilize inventory management systems and software to track and report on inventory status.
- Operate forklifts, skid steers, and telehandlers for material handling (certification provided if required).
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management (SCM).
- Experience with material master data and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) is highly desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of SAP is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Understanding of fundamental materials management processes, including inventory counting, shipping, and receiving.
- Valid forklift certification is a strong asset.
- Valid skid steer and telehandler certification preferred; training and certification will be provided if necessary.
