Our Security Guards are offered employment in a dynamic role in one of the most unique work environments that BC Ferries has to offer. This customer-facing role has the crucial responsibility of making our passengers feel safe and secure as they travel from coast to coast.

Location : Horseshoe Bay

The Day to Day:

· Ensure the safety and security of ferry terminals

· Act as a visible security presence and deterrent to support a safe environment

· Engage with the public to provide assistance, direction, and exceptional customer service

· Perform security procedures including unlock/lock-up checks and routine inspections

· Operate communication tools such as radios and escalate incidents as necessary

· Identify, report, and help mitigate safety hazards

· Support passenger safety and satisfaction during coast-to-coast travel

What you bring:

· BC Security License

· Excellent communication skills

· Comfortable with radio communication

· Ability to write reports on job-related activities

· Comfort working independently and in varying weather conditions

· Punctuality and reliability

· Physically capable of standing and walking for a duration of 8 hours

Compensation:

• $20.60/hr for shifts worked at Horseshoe Bay
