The Supply Management Team is a value-added, solutions partner to YVR’s business operations. Position overview The Supply Management team is looking for a full-time, permanent Buyer who is keen to take on the initiative and contribute to managing & exploiting changing business conditions to deliver the best value procurement to the organization.

Reporting to the Manager, Supply Management, the successful candidate will perform procure-to-pay processes including conducting procurements of intermediate complexity and reviewing purchase requests and purchase orders. You will also support Senior Buyers on higher complexity RFx’s, strategic procurements, and contract management initiatives. Key Responsibilities Develop, evaluate, and execute contract strategies to achieve best value procurement for the organization Perform business intelligence analysis to guide and support business units for strategic and tactical procurement initiatives Build and manage successful relationships with vendors and support vendor performance management Source and procure goods and services using a competitive process including preparing RFx documents and administrating entire procurement process through online bidding platform (Bonfire) Negotiate with vendors and prepare various agreements using template documents Work with client groups as well as supporting business units such as Finance, Legal, and Operations to drive the procurement process Key Qualifications Minimum 5 years of diverse procurement experience in a fast-paced and complex environment, supplemented by a 2-year post-secondary diploma or certificate in Business or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience Currently enrolled in or hold a professional designation in Supply Chain Management (SCMP), Certified in Production and inventory Management (CPIM) or CITT-Certified Logistics Professional (CCLP) Proven experience with ERP software system, Oracle or Maximo is preferred A strong understanding of full-cycle procurement and public sector procurement procedures Highly skilled at building and managing relationships with internal/external stakeholders Excellent communication and leadership skills in managing cross functional teams and projects This position is open to both Vancouver Airport Authority employees and external applicants.

Previous job performance will be taken into consideration for all internal candidates that apply for this position. Salary Range : $72,008 to $94,115 per annum, based on a 37.5-hour work week. This is individually tailored to reflect your unique experience, qualifications and internal equity.
