Our client is seeking a Data Architect to support a major enterprise data governance initiative focused on building an Enterprise Data Reference Model (EDRM). This architect will work closely with the Data Governance Center of Excellence to design conceptual and logical business data models, support master data standardization efforts, and enable consistent data governance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop conceptual and logical enterprise data models aligned to governance standards.
Collaborate with Data Governance leadership, Data Quality Analysts, and BI Analysts on EDRM design.
Define API specifications and integration patterns to support interoperability across systems.
Translate business requirements into clear, actionable data architecture solutions.
Support Discovery & Impact Assessment activities for the Location Hierarchy Standardization Project.
Recommend approaches for extending the EDRM to additional domains.
Produce data architecture standards, guidelines, and stakeholder communication materials.

Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Data Architect with strong enterprise data modeling expertise.
Hands-on experience designing conceptual and logical data models.
Strong understanding of MDM frameworks, governance practices, and data quality concepts.
Experience defining API specifications and integration patterns.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture.
Experience with cloud data platforms (Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure Data Services preferred).
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
