JOB TITLE: Pharmacy Projects Student


TERMS: 10 hours weekly remotely (16 week term with a possibility of renewal)  |  START DATE: June 24th, 2024

SALARY/RATE: $25/hour

ABOUT THE ROLE: As a Pharmacy Projects Student, you will work closely with the Quality Director & Pharmacist to assist with pharmacy projects relating to quality assurance and improvement, policies and procedures, workflow efficiencies, operations, communications  and administrative related items.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead projects related to Workhub (compliance software) including organizing a system to account for staff member certificates and company equipment/assets, consolidation and distribution of matrix reports for company policy and procedure compliance, and spearheading the Workhub Rewards Program.
  • Help with the organization and revision of policies and procedures relating to compounds as per the NAPRA guidelines (non-sterile, non-sterile hazardous and hazardous sterile) and other pharmacy departments including the call centre, lab, logistics and other overall company protocols with implementation onto Workhub (compliance software).
  • Assist with pharmacy workflow and communication projects including Google Workspace and Google Shared Drive.
  • Assist with content (video and infographic-type) creation and editing for both internal use (company) and external pharmacy education and training.
  • Assist with any other pharmacy related projects that may be assigned throughout the weeks.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Enrolled as a Pharmacy student in a University of Pharmacy program in Canada.
  • A Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Strong sense of professionalism and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Computer system with reliable internet connection, a video camera, microphone & speakers for virtual calls and training.
  • Working knowledge of Google Applications (Drive, Document, Sheets) is an asset.
  • Working experience with the Kroll Pharmacy dispensing software is an asset.
  • Ability to work the following days & time shifts: Monday – 2.5 hours, Wednesday – 2.5 hours, ability to have a 1 hour meeting during work hours on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday) and a 3-hour shift of your choosing.
