Senior Product Manager - Search & Recommendations
Location: Vancouver, BC (Hybrid)
Status: T4 or Incorporated
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 6 months (with possibility of extension)
Role Summary
We're looking for an accomplished Senior Product Manager to join the Platform Product team, dedicated to globalizing and enhancing our Enterprise-Level Search and Recommendation systems. This critical role owns the product roadmap for platform capabilities that directly influence user experience, search engine optimization (SEO), and conversion/revenue through optimized ranking logic and AI-powered models.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the roadmap to scale our search and recommendation capabilities from North America to global markets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with AI/ML teams, engineering, and business stakeholders to drive impactful product decisions.
- Maintain a strong delivery mindset, translating business strategy into actionable requirements for the technical teams.
Must-Have Skills
- 5+ years in Product Management, with substantial experience managing enterprise-level platform capabilities, specifically Search and Recommender Systems.
- Proven familiarity with Elasticsearch (or equivalent enterprise search technology), search engine architecture, recommendation algorithms, and the behavior of AI/ML models.
- Direct experience defining requirements for and working with Fusion/Lucidworks or similar modern search and relevance platforms for search and recommendations.
- Strong delivery mindset and ability to execute against a fast-paced business strategy.
- Excellent communication, technical fluency, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience in the global rollout and localization of platform capabilities.
- Exposure to large-scale eCommerce, complex search ranking systems, or applied ML applications in customer-facing product features.
