Purpose

We are looking for a Strategic Operations & Marketing Specialist to join the Optimi team. In this dynamic role, you will drive digital marketing initiatives, manage our direct-to-consumer website, oversee order fulfillment, coordinating shipments to major partners like Amazon in Canada and the USA, and supporting with inventory management.

This role demands a versatile professional who excels in both strategic marketing and operational efficiency to boost our brand’s visibility and ensure seamless customer interactions.

Accountability and Duties

As a key member of the Sales & Marketing team, the Strategic Operations & Marketing Specialist is a purpose-driven problem solver with an ethical do-anything approach to making the overall vision of the company come to life. An overview of the daily duties of the Strategic Operations & Marketing Specialist is as follows:



SALES & MARKETING SUPPORT (60%)

• Digital Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement strategies for digital marketing to boost the site’s visibility and customer acquisition. This includes SEO, email marketing, content creation, and social media management.



• Website Management & Optimization: Oversee the DTC website, ensuring user- friendly design, updated content, and optimization for conversions and sales.

• Customer Service Excellence: Establish and maintain high standards for customer interaction, ensuring timely and effective communication through various channels (email, chat, social media).

• Data Analysis & Reporting: Track and analyze website and campaign performance metrics to inform strategies and report on ROI.


• Working within CANVA program and external Graphic Designer as needed to creating marketing materials as follows: requests from broker, tech sheets, sell sheets, marketing resources as needed.

• Project manage portfolio & pricelist updates for the brand.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT:

• Project managing timelines and deadlines you will work proactively to prioritize and help make the process as efficient as possible, communicating effectively to team throughout.

• Support with weekly/monthly reporting.


STRATEGIC OPERATIONS (40%)

MANAGEMENT OF DIRECT-TO-CONSUMER WEBSITE & CUSTOMER SUPPORT:

• Oversee the company website to ensure a positive customer experience.

• Regular review of orders to ensure accuracy and delivery in a timely manner.


• Ongoing communication with fulfillment centre.

• Interface with 3rd party web developers and design teams to ensure quality and implementation of new ideas and strategies.

INVENTORY & PRODUCTION:

• Work with GM & Controller in effectively managing the inventory management & fulfillment process.

• Work with GM on order fulfillment process, needs & documentation.


• Offside Storage: Manage offsite storage locker & inventory control.

• Arrange customs clearance, shipping and delivery product samples/POS to distributors & USA.

• Tradeshows & Events: Work closely with the Sales & Project Director to coordinate all industry tradeshows and events. (CHFA East & West)



WHAT YOU BRING:

• 3 – 5 years’ experience working with project management, marketing, sales and CPG brand preferred


• Must be highly organized and display excellent motivation & able to self-manage your day.

• Highly adaptable to change and you’re ready to jump in and help where needed, self- motivated and able to work independently within an ambiguous & entrepreneurial environment.

Eager to learn new things.

• Friendly and approachable with an outgoing personality.


• Strong computer skills in MS Office with excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Creative with the ability to construct presentations, emails, and various marketing tools.

• Able to travel as required for the role & able to lift and carry 25+ pounds and able to build displays or handle heavy POS materials as needed.
