Job Description

<p>Overview Excellent opportunity for a Diagnostic Radiologist with fellowship training to join the team at Kelowna General Hospital (KGH). Fellowship training and/or experience in Cardiothoracic, Chest, MSK, Breast or Nuclear Medicine imaging is an asset, but not required. We currently have a mix of 16 diagnostic and interventional radiologists.<br/>Practice Details At the hospital, we have 3 CT scanners, one MRI (current department expansion underway with 2 new MRI units coming), a brand new interventional fluoroscopy suite, digital mammography, and a PET scanner (located at adjacent BCCA). We are currently the only IHA site currently performing MRI guided breast biopsies. At our 3 clinics, we perform X-ray, ultrasound, bone mineral density, and diagnostic mammography.<br/>Our procedural requirements for our diagnostic radiologists are predominantly biopsies and drainages. All vascular intervention, nephrostomy tubes, and complex biliary work are handled by the IR team.<br/>Responsibilities Collaborate with a team of radiologists to provide diagnostic and interventional imaging services.<br/>Perform X-ray, ultrasound, bone mineral density, and diagnostic mammography at clinic sites.<br/>Conduct biopsies and drainages; assist with vascular interventions, nephrostomy tubes, and complex biliary work in collaboration with the Interventional Radiology (IR) team.<br/>Support MRI and CT imaging needs, including ongoing equipment expansion and adoption of new technologies as available.<br/>Qualifications Fellowship training in Cardiothoracic, Chest, MSK, Breast, or Nuclear Medicine imaging is an asset but not required.<br/>Open to new graduates or experienced radiologists.<br/>Employment details Location: Kelowna, British Columbia<br/>Compensation Type: Fee-for-Service<br/>Estimated Remuneration: Competitive<br/>Benefits Relocation assistance: $9,000 - $15,000 based on move location (with eligible receipts).
