At Royal Inland Hospital, services include x-ray, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, MRI, digital mammography, nuclear medicine, and bone densitometry. Renovations for a new IR suite and construction of a new cancer centre are scheduled to begin in 2025. The vascular practice is broad and growing and includes trauma/inpatient embolization, peripheral vascular interventions, fibroid embolization, fistula management, and outpatient vascular cases. An Interventional Oncology program is being developed.<br/>CLINIC DETAILS: ROYAL INLAND HOSPITAL<br/>Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) is a 273-bed facility serving nearly 250,000 individuals in the Thompson Cariboo Shuswap Health Service Area. As the region’s leading tertiary referral hospital and Level 1 Trauma Centre, RIH manages over 250 major trauma cases and 72,000 Emergency Department visits annually. The Phil and Jennie Gaglardi Tower, a $417-million expansion opened in 2022, has advanced mental health units and surgical services. In 2024, new post-anesthetic recovery and pediatric units were completed, with full completion of department renovations and expansion on track for autumn 2026.
